Art students from Burns Middle School showcased their works at the Greater Gulf State Fair from October 23, 2009 - November 1, 2009.
Thirty- two students showed their masterpieces. These students were: Sofiani Tanaka, Tiffany Calderon, Geovany Garcia, Cherish Pharez, Ashlynn Stringer, Hailey Scarborough, Quynh Le, Garrett Feemster, Bailey Scerri, Kobie Johnson, Kayla Lovett, Chase MeLester, Josh Alfaro, Mallory Behme, Deyjah Francis, Lamont Mack, Zack Weaver, Chanel Ray, Hope Wilson, Lauren Hodges, Dorian Wallace, Christa Sewer, Deonna Finklea, Laura Naman, Kayla Freeman Kirsten Wallace, Brandon Beard, Keaton Eversole, Savannah Hatcher and Natalye Bordelon.
Also, three students won ribbons at the fair. Dorian Wallace won a blue ribbon for her fish picture. Chanel Ray won a red ribbon for her fish print. Kirsten Wallace won a third place white ribbon for her mouse picture.
